Description
Often overlooked during gearbox rebuilds, this seal is critical as it fits right at the very bottom of the casing and is a common cause of persistent oil leaks. The large round metal plug in the base of the gearbox serves as the pivot pin for all the selector crank levers, and this seal fits around it. It can only be replaced when the gearbox is completely stripped down, making it essential to renew during a full rebuild.
