Description
Special Tuning came up with this idea to prevent the driveshafts from breaking on their rally cars. They eliminated the large circlip groove where failures occurred by welding a spacer onto the shaft to properly position the CV joint. Additionally, the works department reduced the steering lock to eliminate excessive stress on the shaft during full lock turns. These modifications were applied to the remote type gearbox or original Cooper S models.
Made for Minis using rubber or Hardy Spicer drive couplings, these fit both disc brake and drum brake outer cv joints.
