Lightweight competition alternator designed for all pre-1997 Classic Minis. Weighing just 3.2 kg and delivering a reliable 55-amp output, this unit is ideal for performance, race, and competition applications where reducing weight is a priority.Designed as a direct bolt-on replacement for the original alternator, it also features a multi-position mounting bracket, making it well suited to custom installations and motorsport builds.Please note that this alternator does not use the standard Mini alternator connector, so minor wiring modifications will be required during installation.Identical to the GXE1002 competition alternator but with a larger pulley designed to stop over charging the alternator on race cars which spend the majority of time at high rpm
