Description
Add a touch of vintage motorsport style with this beautifully crafted flip-top fuel cap. Inspired by the iconic quick-fill caps found on some of the most legendary racing cars to compete at Monza, Le Mans, and other historic circuits, this polished chrome cap combines classic looks with functional design.
Originally developed to speed up refueling during competition, the flip-top, push-button mechanism remains one of the most recognizable fuel cap designs ever produced. This reproduction captures the appearance and character of the original while providing a striking period-correct upgrade for your vehicle.
The cap threads onto a specially designed brass adapter that is a tight press fit onto the fuel tank neck. For safety and security, the adapter should also be bonded in place with a suitable adhesive.
Before ordering, verify that your fuel tank neck extends at least 10mm (0.394") above the body seal. Many later-model vehicles have less exposed neck length, which may prevent proper installation. The adapter is designed to fit a 2-1/4" (57mm) fuel tank neck.
