Description
Latest-generation Klinger gasket material designed for the clutch housing, replacing 22A2237B to help eliminate common oil leaks. Manufactured to 31 thou (0.81mm) thickness and engineered to compress to the correct specification once installed.
Using modern gasket technology, this is one of the best sealing solutions available for the Classic Mini, requiring no additional sealant when fitted correctly and torqued to 18 lb-ft.
While Klinger material may seem excessive for a Mini application, anyone familiar with A-series engines knows how prone they are to oil leaks. Rover recognized this issue as well, introducing this style of gasket on MPI models from 1997 onward to reduce costly warranty labor associated with oil leaks.
