This updated plastic-bodied clutch master cylinder is a direct replacement for virtually every Classic Mini ever produced. Although part numbers changed throughout production, the design, dimensions, and operation of the clutch hydraulic system remained largely unchanged, making this cylinder suitable for all Mini applications.

As the heart of the clutch hydraulic system, the master cylinder plays a critical role in clutch operation. Common signs of a worn or failing master cylinder include a clutch pedal that slowly sinks to the floor under pressure or hydraulic fluid leaking from around the clutch pedal inside the vehicle.

This modern plastic-bodied design offers reliable performance and durability while maintaining full compatibility with original Mini hydraulic systems.

For owners seeking an original appearance, the traditional metal-bodied version remains available under part number AAU4969. Please note that AP has updated the finish on their metal-bodied cylinders from the original gold-colored coating to a glossy silver finish.
